The March of Fools
Byeong-tae and Young-cheol, philosophy majors, get to know Young-ja and Sun-ja, French literature majors in other university. Whenever Byeong-tae asks Young-ja to marry him half-jokingly, she makes a poignant remark that the future of philosophy students is grim. Young-cheol, who always rides a bicycle and talks about his dream of catching a whale whenever he is drunk, has feelings for Sun-ja. However, Sun-ja rejects him due to his stuttering, unpromising future, and poor physical conditions that even disqualified him for mandatory military service.
