Mid 1990s, Germany. Asli, a student from Turkey, and Saeed, a charismatic Lebanese refugee, meet at a party and fall in love at first sight. The two lovers get married despite Asli's mother's opposition. Their love story, though rough seems to be headed for a happy ending. So far, the film follows the format of a classic love story. However, the story takes a sudden and drastic turn. Asli begins to have marital problems with Saeed, who is more and more absorbed with Islamic extremism. Saeed suddenly disappears one day. After a series of events, the film is building up for an unimaginable shocking twist. The twist is even more horrifying due to the contrast of the love story in the first half of the film. Director Anne Zohra Berrached's previous film <24 Weeks> was a sensation among Korean fans. Her latest film, , is a special attempt to paint a terrorist from the wife’s perspective, blind with love.

Born in Erfurt, Germany, Anne Zohra Berrached graduated from the Baden-Württemberg Film Academy. Her first feature film won for Best Screenplay at the 63rd Berlin International Film Festival, and her second feature film <24 Weeks> won the Guild of German Art House Cinemas award at the 66th Berlin International Film Festival.
