Forest - I See You Everywhere

This film can be seen as a follow-up to , the first feature film from Benedek Fliegauf, which had a very low budget but brought him international fame. The film consists of seven episodes describing diverse people in relationship crises. Each episode begins and ends in a manner that isn’t immediately clear to the viewer. At the start of each episode, the audience feels as if they have barged into the conversation of the characters in the movie. The viewers are put in a situation where they should guess what the characters were talking about before they joined the conversation. The connecting links between the episodes are unclear. Fliegauf’s style of putting characters in a closed place and filming them with handheld cameras, which appeared in , has intensified in this film. A large forest is seen from everywhere but can’t be seen when we’re in it. This film is like a forest. Take one step backward and look at the film again after watching it.

Bence Fliegauf is a writer, director, production designer and sound designer. His feature film , , were selected for the Berlin International Film Festival. won the Golden Leopard, the top prize at the Locarno International Film Festival.
