On her way to her wedding in Kiloran Island, Joan gets stuck on a nearby island due to bad weather. Torquil a soldier heading for Kiloran Island for vacation is also stuck in the same situation as Joan. They spend time together and they are attracted to each other. The film, which shows the typical romance genre, unfolds the intensity of life-changing love with a solid scenario and sophisticated directing. Perhaps one of the least known films by Michael Powell and the Emeric Pressburger duo. Today we need to rediscover this beautiful film full of genuine wit.
