Accused of tagging "MACRON RESIGN" on a wall in her high school to oppose the revision of the higher education enforcement ordinance, Chiara was arrested but did not come out of custody alive. Her friends and classmates, shocked by her sudden death, pay tributes to her, and go on to find ways to express their neglected voices. The film lies somewhere between a fiction and a documentary because the actors are unprofessional high school students who show their natural reactions in a situation set by the director, Nicholovitch. While Chiara is a fictional character created by Nicholovitch, the student’s movement is real. About 2,500 high school students took part in the movement to oppose the higher education revision in 2018. In the film, the audience cannot see or hear Chiara at all but actors repeatedly talk about her throughout the movie, making her a lively character that can be anyone – even you or I.
