19-year-old Souad and 13-year-old Rabab are sisters living with a conservative family in a small town in Egypt. Souad is a good girl in front of her family but she has a hidden life. On a social networking platform, she has secretive, virtual relationships with a lot of men. She constantly lies on the platform to make herself the person she aspires to be but a series of small incidents bring her to a tragic end. Now, the little sister Rebab needs to go on a journey to find out why Souad had to leave like that. Today’s world seems to consist of two conflicting worlds: the real world governed by conventional traditions and the virtual one represented by the social networking sites the younger generation sees as an escape way. The film describes Souad, who finds social conventions and her parents’ expectations of her suffocating, with handheld cameras in closeups, making her look more isolated.

Ayten has been working in the film industry for the past 12 years. Her first short film was selected at Clermont-Ferrand Film Festival. In 2013, her debut feature film , received the Special Jury Award for Arab Film at Abu Dhabi Film. She co-directed the documentary , that was selected at Venice International Film Festival and TIFF.
