Synopsis

Lonely, isolated island in Japan. The only way to mainland is a ferryboat twice a day, never used by locals. It brings visitors to brothels in the island. Local women imagine outside world based on what visitors said. Local men laugh at women's dreams and prevents them from leaving. One of the brothels is run by cruel Tetsuo with his obedient younger brother Tokuta. 4 prostitutes work there. The only woman who doesn’t sell sex is Tetsuo’s younger sister. She has been bedridden for years and the most beautiful one.
